Resident Arrested For OUI After Crash

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Thursday, Nov. 8

At12:01 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on I-93 Northbound.

At 4:40 p.m. a walk-in visitor reported his bicycle stolen on South Main Street.

At 9:05 p.m. police arrested two juveniles and charged with with tresspassing and larceny from a building on Memorial Circle.

Friday, Nov. 9

At12:54 a.m. a female caller reported that her car was stolen on Park Street. An officer met the woman in front of Dylan's Pub and eventually found the car parked on Elm Street.

At 10:01 a.m. plant and facilities reported a tree on a wire in the exit of a plaza on North Main Street. An officer checked the area with negative results.

At 10:44 a.m. a caller reported that someone stole a laptop and power cord from a business at Brickstone Square.

At 1:56 p.m. an employee at Chili's on River Road reported a man trying to use stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards. The man left before police arrived.

At 3:03 p.m. a caller on Binney Street reported his motor vehicle stolen. An officer located the vehicle on another section of Binney Street with the steering column and electronic panels ripped off.

At 8:23 p.m. police arrested Edward W. Reid, 26, of 39 Hart St., Woburn, on River Road. Reid was charged with possession of a class A substance.

At 9:13 p.m. police arrested Nicholas B. Hutchins, 25, of 121 Farnum St., North Andover. Hutchins was charged with violation of a harassment order.

At 11:21 p.m. a caller reported a loud bang on Haverhill Street. An officer located a young woman that had crashed her vehicle off Haverhill Street. Police eventually arrested the operator Jayme Leigh Day, 24, of 1 Sunset Rock Road. Day was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
