What Would You Ask Candidates for State Legislature?

The League of Women Voters of Andover and North Andover is holding a candidates forum for all of the races in state offices pertaining to the Andovers. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Memorial Hall Library.

The league is now reaching out to the public for questions for the Wednesday night debate.

Anyone interested in sending in questions should email voterserviceandover@lwv-andovers.org. Enter "Questions" in the subject line. Questions will also be taken at the event but the league would greatly appreciate questions in advance.

The forum will include the following candidates.

• 17th Essex State Representative: Andover precincts 2,3,4: Kevin Cuff (U) & Frank A. Moran (D).
• 18th Essex State Representative: Andover precincts 1,5,6,7,8,9 & North Andover precincts 6,7,8: Rep. James J. Lyons (R-incumbent) & Barbara L'Italien.
• 2nd Essex and Middlesex State Senator: All Andover precincts Senator Barry Finegold (D-incumbent) & Rep. Paul Adams (R).
• Northern Essex County Register of Deeds: All Andover & North Andover precincts. John J. Wilson (R), Paul Iannuccillo (D), Brian Corrigan (I), Stephen Battle (U). (Please note, Mr. Battle is not expected to participate in the event).
