  • 2:00 pm hike the new Meg’s Trail led by Sanborn Reservation Wardens Burt Batcheller and Bob Rauseo.

AVIS and the Town of Andover Conservation Commission recently acquired two parcels of land at the end of South Street in Andover along the Shawsheen River. The AVIS parcel was previously owned by the Tisbert family and the Town of Andover parcel was a portion of the solar farm. These two parcels, added to the original AVIS land donated by the Sanborn family in 1959, create a singular reservation along the bank of the Shawsheen River of 50 acres. Motorized vehicles are no longer allowed on the land and a new pedestrian trail system has been installed.
