Shoplifting Reported at Two Local Stores
The police logs for Monday, June 6, contained several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
At 6:42 a.m. police assisted the fire department with an oven fire on Washington Avenue. The scene was clear by 7:08 a.m.
At 6:55 a.m. an officer reported a car on the side of the road on North Street that looked like it had hit a telephone pole. The owner of the motor vehicle eventually called police and said that she hit a pole at Brookside Drive and walked to a friend’s house. When she returned, her car had already been towed.

At 9:02 a.m. the manager at Old Andover Village on Main Street reported a subject who is asleep in a hallway.
At 9:31 a.m. Whole Foods reported attempted shoplifting at the Railroad Street store.

At 5:29 p.m. a two-car crash was reported on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
At 10:58 a.m. CVS reported shoplifting on Main Street. An employee reported a male stealing some cigarettes at the store. The suspect was last scene on Route 28. An officer caught up with the subject in question at the park. A man was summonsed for shoplifting.
