Solicitor Arrested on Starwood Crossing

Tuesday, Sept. 13

At 8:01 a.m. a caller reported a dog was struck on Lowell Street. An officer could not locate the animal.

At 10 a.m. Methuen Police reported finding a car that was stolen from Andover. They found only damage to the ignition. No arrests have been made.

At 11:11 a.m. a caller reported that he found his house was broken into on Beacon Street.

At 11:54 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Union Street. No injuries were reported.

At 5:36 p.m. a walk-in visitor reported a past hit and run accident on Lowell Street.

At 6:01 p.m. police arrested Damien Tyler Barrett, 18, of 105 Willard Road, Chenango Forks, NY, on Starwood Crossing. Barrett was charged with a peddling door-to-door violation. Police had spoken to Barrett earlier that afternoon and asked him to stop unlawfully soliciting door-to-door. Barrett was selling books or magazines, according to the police log.
