State Police Handle 10-Vehicle Accident and Car Fire on I-93
The State Police responded to two accidents today on I-93 northbound in Andover.

State Police responded to a 10 to 11-car accident early this morning on Interstate 93 and then later received calls about a car fire on the same strip of roadway in the early afternoon.
According to State Police media relations, police responded to a 10 to 11-vehicle accident at 6:30 a.m. on Interstate 93 this morning. Despite the large accident, police say that only one individual was transported to the hospital and was reported to have only minor injuries.
State Police did not have more information on the accident but said that it was cleaned up by 7:30 a.m.

Then, later in the day around 12:30 p.m., police responded to a disabled vehicle on the side of Interstate 93 near exit 42 that was fully-engulfed in flames. The vehicle was a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron.
The Andover Fire Department assisted the State Police in extinguishing the car fire, according to media relations. Only one vehicle was involved and no injuries were reported.
