Stray Dog Bites Teen on Eastman Raod

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 3:11 a.m. police arrested Christian J. Benedix, 20, of 2 Hearthstone Place, on Teaberry Lane. Benedix was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

At 7:47 a.m. a caller reported vandalism on Holt Road. A resident reported beer bottles and other trash thrown on their property at different occurrences.

At 9:43 a.m. a major water main break was reported on River Street.

At 4:56 p.m. a caller reported a down tree that is blocking the road way on Argilla Road. The road was opened up shortly.

At 5:17 p.m. police put flares down on the roadway to alert motorists of a down tree on Route 124.

At 5:29 p.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injures reported on Argilla Road.

At 11:11 p.m. Lawrence General Hospital reported a 15-year-old that was bitten by a stray dog on Eastman Road. Police found two dogs, but neither appeared to be the culprit.
