Stretch Of Dascomb Rd. In Andover To Close Thurs. and Fri. For Paving

Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dascomb Road between Steeple Court and Surrey Lane will be closed. There will be a detour.

ANDOVER, MA —The Andover Department of Public Works has announced that a portion of Dascomb Road will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to paving operations.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, the stretch of Dascomb Road between Steeple Court and Surrey Lane will be closed while work is progressing.

On social media, the Andover DPW has indicated that motorists traveling southwest on Dascomb Road can take a detour around the closure by going north on Lovejoy Road, west on Lowell Street, south on Haggetts Pond Road, east on Bellevue Road, south on Osgood Street and south on Frontage Road, which hits Dascob Road.

Subsequently, motorists traveling northeast on Dascomb Road can take a detour around the closure by going north on Frontage Road, north on Osgood Street, west on Bellevue Road, north on Haggetts Pond Road, east on Lowell Street and south on Lovejoy Road, which hits Dascomb Road.

The Andover DPW said motorists should expect delays as work proceeds.

Additionally, the Andover DPW said message boards have been placed on Dascomb Road and on off-ramps to Interstate 93 informing motorists of the upcoming work.

During the closure, emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel through the work zone, according to authorities.
