Teen Arraigned After BB Shooting Incident

Andover Police received a report about kids shooting a BB gun at a man walking along the road on North Street Sunday and eventually arrested a 17-year-old teenager in connection with the incident.

Police arrested Daniel Jimenez, 17, of 500 C Brookside Drive, on North Street on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Jimenez, an Andover High School student, was arraigned Monday in Lawrence District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

At around 2 p.m. on Sunday a Lawrence man reported feeling a sharp pain in his side while walking along North Street and then saw three teens in the woods, one with a BB rifle.

The teens ran into the woods to hide but police responded and eventually got them to come out. Jimenez, according to police, admitted to the shooting. The other two teens he was with were not charged.
