What is Happening with the Former Marshalls Storefront?
Marshalls had occupied a space in Shawsheen Plaza for more than 15 years when it closed its operations last March and moved to a space Lawrence off South Union Street. So what's happening with the storefront? The short answer: nothing right now.
Planning director Paul Materazzo said that, despite hearing rumors about possible businesses moving into the spot, has not seen any proposals come through the planning office anytime recently...or since the store moved in March.

Current owner of Shawsheen Plaza Stop and Shop declined to comment at this time on several questions regarding the former Marshalls unit. So, if something is in the works, the plaza owner is not ready to reveal it.
