When Does Curbside Leaf Collection Begin?

Curbside leaf collection begins this week in the town of Andover. The collection goes until Nov. 30 but does not include Thanksgiving week.

Leave are accepted only if in open trash barrels or brown paper leaf compost bags. Plastic bags are not accepted. The bags must weigh 50 pounds or less (the leaf pickup truck is different from the household trash pickup truck).

Bundled branches are allowed in the weekly trash pickup (limited to two to three bundles). The twigs or branches must be bundled with tape or rope.

The bundles must be 1" to 6" in diameter, up to 4' in length and 50 or less pieces, and no foilage is allowed.
