• A safe space (mvtimes.com) — A new healing center called Aquinnah Headwaters is being developed as long-term, culturally grounded housing and support for Native women survivors of violence, rooted in Wampanoag traditions. The project emphasizes trauma‑informed design, environmental respect, and extended stays so women can stabilize, study, and reconnect with nature. Organizers are fundraising millions to complete the design and construction phases.
