Alex Magee Named New Arlington Deputy Town Manager, Finance Director
Magee comes to Arlington from Hamilton, where he was the finance director of the town.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington Town Manager Sandy Pooler announced in Thursday’s Town Hall meeting that Alex Magee was selected as Arlington’s new deputy town manager and finance director.
The deputy town manager performs important administrative duties such as preparing the operating and capital budgets and the five-year Long Range Plan, formulating health insurance policy, conducting collective bargaining, measuring departmental performance, and producing the Financial Plan, Town officials said in a news release.
“Alex is well suited for this position,” Pooler said in the release. “He brings a wealth of municipal financial and budgeting experience and related expertise that will greatly benefit Arlington.”

Magee comes to Arlington from Hamilton, where he was the finance director of the town. He oversaw the finance department, planned the town’s budget, and was a member of the collective bargaining team.
Before working in Hamilton, Magee worked in the city of Lowell for over eight years as a data management analyst, assistant to the city manager, and served as deputy director of administration and finance for its Public Works department.
