Election 2020: Arlington Voter Guide
Everything you need to know about early voting, mail-in voting and in-person voting in Arlington for the election Nov. 3.

ARLINGTON, MA — Registered voters in Arlington will soon be able to participate in early voting for the Nov. 3 general election. The town will also start mailing ballots early this month for those who wish to participate by mail.
Vote By Mail
Track My Ballot indicates if you have already applied for a Nov. 3 ballot - it will say 'Pending' until your ballot is mailed. If you have not applied for a ballot for the election, you can complete the application form and submit it by 5 p.m. on Oct. 28.
Arlington accepts applications by mail, and you can also place them in the drop box in front of Town Hall or email the signed form to townclerk@town.arlington.ma.us (scan or photo will be accepted).

A handwritten and signed note with your name and home address requesting a ballot for the Nov. 3 election can also be submitted. And the state has mailed postcard applications to registered voters who have not yet applied for a ballot.
Please note: The town will not be mailing ballots for the November election until early October, and it will take two weeks to get all of them in the mail.

Early Voting in person at Town Hall will occur between Oct. 17 and Oct. 30:

- Wed, Oct 21, 8AM - 4PM

- Sat, Oct 24, 1PM - 6PM
- Sun, Oct 25, 1PM - 6PM
- Mon, Oct 26, 8AM - 4PM
- Tues, Oct 27, 8AM - 4PM

- Fri, Oct 30, 8AM - noon
Voting on Election Day, Nov. 3 will be at your usual polling location from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Returning Your Ballot - Drop Boxes in Place in October
You can mail it to the Clerk's Office (postage is paid) or use one of the three secure ballot return boxes. Before you put a ballot in a box, please be sure it is clearly marked for ballots. For now, the Town Hall ballot return box is in place. Two other boxes will be installed as the town mails out ballots.
- East Arlington - Outside the Fox Branch Library (175 Massachusetts Ave)
- Arlington Center - The Town Hall drop box has been moved just outside the Plaza so it will remain accessible during construction. The drop box is now located near the MBTA bus stop just west of the Town Hall crosswalk.
- Arlington Heights - Outside ACMI Studios (85 Park Avenue)
Can I Check to See if My Ballot Has Been Mailed?
You will be able to see the date that we mailed the ballot to you and then the date we receive your completed ballot using the Secretary of State's website tool Track My Ballot Please allow five business days for your mailed ballot to show up in the state system. Please do not delay in requesting your ballot and promptly signing and returning it. If your ballot has not been received by Election Day, you may go to the polls and vote. Only one vote will be tallied.
Voter Registration Information
Last day to register to vote for the Nov. 3 election is Saturday, Oct. 24. You can register in person at Town Hall Oct. 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.
