ARLINGTON, MA — President Trump's loss in Massachusetts on Tuesday was expected in the perennially deep blue state, but how did he fare among Arlington residents this time around?
Support for Trump dipped in 2020 compared to 2016, with the president losing a little over 300 votes between the two elections. Results from the 2016 election show Trump received 4,625 votes, compared to 4,313 this year. Hillary Clinton received 20,159 votes in Arlington in 2016, while Joe Biden earned 23,024.
Turnout was slightly higher this year, with 85 percent of registered voters casting ballots compared to 83 percent in 2016.
