Arlington Releases Affordable Housing Action Plan Draft

ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington has released a draft of its Affordable Housing Trust Action Plan for residents to review.

The five-year Action Plan has been developed to guide the Affordable Housing Trust's actions and activities. The purpose of the action plan is to:

- Create a transparent and clear plan for the Trust to communicate its work, goals, and priority initiatives to the community
- Identify one or more areas of focus for the Trust based on available and anticipated resources combined with community-informed goals for the production and preservation of affordable housing
- Ensure that Trust resources are used to further the town’s goals and objectives in addressing local housing needs and related community goals.
The Trust has established preliminary goals and strategies based on the Housing Plan and Fair Housing Action Plan. It has also established a community engagement process, which will be implemented as the Action Plan continues to develop.
The Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board of Trustees was established for the purpose of creating a separate fund “to provide for the preservation and creation of Community Housing in the Town of Arlington.” For more information, click here.
