Arlington’s Robbins Farm Playground Receives $997K For Renovations
The current playground was recently inspected due to reported playground safety concerns by residents.

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington’s Robbins Farm playground project will receive $997,000 in funding for renovations, a budget that was recently approved by the Community Preservation Act Committee and Town Meeting.
The Park Commission is currently soliciting RFP’s for design services and will begin the public input process this fall. Renovations are expected to begin in spring 2023.
The current playground was recently inspected due to reported playground safety concerns by residents. The results of this inspection dictated the immediate removal of certain pieces of equipment, including the following:

- The swing clamps on the elementary aged swing set were worn but replacement parts were ordered and the swings will be installed as soon as the parts arrive.
- The toddler wooden play house and the toddler swings were not salvageable and will be replaced next spring.
- The slide remains closed and will be addressed as part of the renovation.
