Arlington Teacher, Children's Author To Host Storytime
Katherine Picarde, a Medford native and first grade teacher in Arlington, will read her book 'The Little Ouch' at Trident Books.

ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington teacher who published her first children's book last year will host a storytime event in Boston this weekend.
Katherine Picarde, a Medford native, wrote "The Little Ouch" to show kids they don't have to be afraid of shots.
"The main character, Penelope, is based on me as a kid," Picarde told Patch last year. "I was super fearful of getting shots, and a lot of the antics she pulled and phrases she says are things I'd say as a kid."

The event begins at 10 a.m. at Trident Books, 338 Newbury Street. Click here to pre-register.
