Arlington Wetlands Regulation Changes Proposed

ARLINGTON, MA – The Conservation Commission, which protects and manages Arlington’s wetlands and conservation lands, is set to consider revisions to the town’s wetlands regulations.

The revisions will be discussed at a remote public hearing Thursday at 7 p.m.

Arlingtonton’s wetlands regulations were last updated in 2018 in accordance with the Town’s Wetlands Protection Bylaw.

The Conservation Commission has been in a two-year planning process to make minor and more substantial changes to these regulations, including:

  • Adding a new section on administrative review of minor projects (Section 8);
  • More tables and comprehensive requirements to Vegetation Removal and Replacement regulations (Section 25);
  • And more comprehensive requirements to both Climate Change Resilience rules (Section 32) and Stormwater Management rules (section 33).
