ICYMI: Crime Log: Egg-Throwing Vandals Rampage In Arlington
The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department.

Crime Log: Sunday, April 19
Malicious Destruction, Dow Ave., 1:41 p.m.
- An Arlington woman told police that while sleeping on her couch at approximately, 11 p.m. Saturday, April 18, sounds akin to thunder and rain interrupted her doze. She thought nothing of it and went back to sleep. The following day at about 1 p.m., she went outside to work on her yard and discovered her window had been rigorously egged. Dried eggshells were littered across the ground.

- A remarkably similar incident transpired when a reporting party and his wife watched a movie on Saturday between 10 p.m. and midnight, and heard a trio of thudding noises, indicating that objects were striking his window. He told police he went outside and saw a car quickly speed away. The following afternoon, he showed police his egg-marred window, plus eggshells on the ground.
Malicious Destruction, Florence Ave.10:36 a.m.
- Yet another Arlington resident told police that their home had been egged the previous night, sometime between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Police report they have yet to identify a suspect responsible for this serial egging spree.
Shoplifting, Arlington Bait and Tackle/84 Mass. Ave., 11:25 a.m.

- The proprietor of Arlington Bait and Tackle told police that on Thursday, April 16, a customer pocketed a pair of fishing lures worth $6.59 each. This was discovered via watching security footage timed at about 9:45 a.m. The reporting party also claims to have seen the same shady fishing enthusiast riding a bike along Mass. Ave. later that day at about 1:30 p.m. Police told him that if he sees the suspected shoplifter again, try to stall so they can show up and issue a no trespass notice.
Moped Larceny, Broadway, 3:51 p.m.
- A moped, possibly a Yamaha Adventure, with “ADVENTURE” stenciled across its side was reported stolen from the back alley of a restaurant. Security footage timed at approximately 1:13 p.m. shows two men - one acting as lookout - approach the moped. The non-lookout mounts the vehicle and speeds away in a wobbly, uncertain manner.
