Lots of Traffic Accidents In This Arlington Crime Log
The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department.

Thursday, May 28
- Woman Crashes Into Garbage Truck, 8:30 a.m., Thesda Street
A garbage truck was parked in front of a driveway, and a driver was attempting to pull out into the street. Some confusion led to the vehicle hitting the truck’s driver’s side staircase in the process of leaving the driveway. The damage was minor and no one was injured.
- Poor Timing Leads to Crash, 10:30 a.m., Central Street and Massachusetts Avenue
As two drivers were heading westbound on Massachusetts Avenue, one swerved from the right lane into the left lane and smacked the other vehicle. No one was injured.

The driver who made the poorly-timed shift in lanes said she was avoiding a parked car that had opened its door too quickly, and furthermore, the driver she hit was distracted, talking on his cellphone. The driver who was supposedly on his cell phone denied this being the case.
- Truck Broken Into, Tools Moved Around, 9:57 a.m., Hathaway Circle
It was reported that sometime during May 24, an unknown individual broke into a truck and rearranged the position of numerous tools within. Nothing was missing - including the tools and an easily visible GPS.

- Car Door Strikes Car Mirror, Academy Street, 2:24 p.m.
A motorist opened her car door in too much of a hurry to notice incoming traffic, and the door hit a passenger’s side mirror of a passing car, causing damage to both vehicles.
- Fender Bender Leads to Injury, Mystic Street, 5:25 p.m.
One driver rear-ended another who was stopped on Mystic Street, causing the car to lunge forward and slam into a nearby truck. The driver’s head his the front window of her car during the accident, and was therefore transported to the hospital.
- Hit and Run, Massachusetts Avenue, 9:51 p.m.
A witness left a note on a car explaining to the owner that the car had been hit by another motorist attempting to park behind it.
