Mass. Ave. Reconstruction Project Update

Wok on the Massachusetts Avenue Reconstruction project is ongoing.

Construction on the Massachusetts Avenue Reconstruction Project is ongoing, with work being performed on both sides of the avenue, according to the Town of Arlington.

The town has provided updates on the project’s progress. During the week of June 22, sidewalks on the right side of the avenue will be excavated at 218 Massachusetts Avenue between Lake Street and Orvis Road, and from Chandler Street to Melrose Street, the town said.

Curb setting work will be done on the left side of Massachusetts Avenue from Henderson Street to the Alewife Brook Parkway on the left side and from Orvis Road to Lake Street on the right side.

According to the Town of Arlington, on the left side of the avenue sidewalks will be poured from Amsden Street to the Alewife Brook Parkway. Conduit and street light bases will be placed on the right side of the avenue between Orvis Road and Lake Street following the curb resetting.
