Police: Somerville Man Arrested on Drug Charge
The officer also observed a large amount of small white pills, bagged separately within two small bags.

Nicklas C. Dalrymple, 24, of Somerville, was arrested after a traffic stop on Wednesday, on Massachusetts Avenue, and charged with possession of a Class E drug.
An Arlington officer observed a black GMC pickup truck that was missing a front plate, and stopped him. The driver identified himself. As Dalrymple reached into his center console to retrieve his registration, the officer saw a sandwich bag containing marijuana, next to the bag was a prescription medication bottle, according to police.
The driver quickly shut the console, and provided all paperwork.

The officer asked all three additional passengers in the car for identification due to the fact that no one was wearing seatbelt safety restraints, according to reports. Two of the passengers provided licenses and the third gave the officer a name and date of birth.
All of Dalrymple’s passengers reportedly had extensive records, including various weapons charges. The officer asked Dalrymple if there were any drugs or weapons in the car; all four passengers stated no.

The officer informed Dalrymple that he observed a bag of marijuana in the center console.
Dalrymple opened the console to retrieve it and reportedly replied, “I thought you meant like major drugs, like heroin and Percocet and stuff.”
The officer also allegedly saw a large amount of small white pills, bagged separately within two small bags, leading him to believe Dalrymple was planning to distribute illegal narcotics, the officer noted in the report. Dalrymple reportedly said “those are fat burning pills.”
The pills were reportedly identified as being Clonazepam. While being led to the patrol car, Dalrymple reportedly said, “They are just anabolic testosterone boosters; they are fat burners.”
Police also reportedly found $3,500 cash in a Metro banking envelope in the car. Dalrymple said the cash came from a customer he was doing a roof for the next morning, which police confirmed.
Information was excerpted from the Arlington Police Department log, and does not indicate a conviction.
