ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Town Day Committee released a statement this week thanking the participants who helped make the return of Town Day 2022 a huge success, with the largest turnout in memory.

Held on Sept.17 along Mass. Ave between Mill/Jason Streets and Pleasant Street, Town Day presented a wide variety of activities and services and hosted over 200 booths. The event culminated with a fireworks display over Spy Pond.

“After a 3-year hiatus, it was terrific to see so many in the community come out and enjoy food and music on a beautiful day,” Kathleen Darcy, Arlington Town Day Committee Chair, said in a statement. “We are grateful for the many volunteers for working the event, ACMi – for covering it, and Arlington’s Select Board and the many sponsors who supported it, especially Cambridge Savings Bank, who is once again the Primary Sponsor.”

“The safety and success of the event relies on the contributions of so many individuals, but these Departments work tirelessly to support the event from beginning to end,” Select Board member and Town Day Committee member John Hurd said.
