Three-Point Turn Goes Haywire In This Quick Arlington Crime Log

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department.

Crime Log: Friday, May 29, 2015

  • Aluminum Poles Stolen, State Street, 1:23 p.m.

Apparently sometime between Friday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 26, someone swiped a pair of scaffolding poles from a residential construction site on State Street.

  • Hit and Run, Maynard Street, 5:52 p.m.

A sedan apparently rammed into a parked S.U.V., then sped away without leaving a note or attempting to communicate with the vehicle’s owner in any way.

The collision resulted from a botched three-point turn, according to witnesses, and the driver of the offending vehicle is thought to be a employee of a rental car company.
