Town Of Arlington: IT Data Center Moves Over Weekend

Not available during move: phones, email, APS District Website, Water/Sewer Online Payments
As part of the Arlington High School Building Project, Arlington’s Facilities and Information Technology (IT) departments are moving out of the high school into their new location at Public Works on 51 Grove Street. Part of this transition requires Arlington’s IT data center to be moved to Grove Street as well. This work is scheduled to begin Friday, January 14th at 4:00 p.m. and completed by the start of business on Tuesday, January 18th (Monday is a holiday).

Services Unavailable During the Move:
· Phone calls to all Town and School buildings.
· Emails to all Town and School buildings, except library.
· Arlington Public School website (arlington.k12.ma.us).
· Water/Sewer online payments and bill look up - starting on January 13th at 7:00 p.m.

Services Available and Not Impacted by the Move:
· 911 and APD non-emergency number 718-643-1212
· Town website - arlingtonma.gov
· Online payments managed by Invoice Cloud
· Recreation website – arlingtonrec.com
· Library emails and website – robblinslibrary.org

The IT Department plans to have the data center fully operational well before start of business day on Tuesday, January 18th (Monday is a holiday). The Department also would like to thank staff and residents for their patience while they make this necessary move.
