This does not appear to have been a random act of violence and both suspects remain in the custody of the Arlington Police Department and they no longer pose any danger to the public. Both suspects will be arraigned on Monday morning at Cambridge District Court.

I want to thank members of the community for cooperating with our investigators last night as well as members of the Cambridge Police Department for supporting us during the manhunt for the armed gunman. As our officers worked their way easterly from the crime scene in search of the suspect, Cambridge officers worked their way westerly toward the crime scene, and the suspect was captured in the middle by Cambridge Police Officers. After the suspect was placed into custody Arlington police K9 Dasty and K9 Handler Officer Mike Hogan lead investigators to a wooded area where the firearm had been discarded by the suspect.
