Victim Of Fatal Arlington Fire ID'd

ARLINGTON, MA — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal two-alarm fire in Arlington.

Bridget Doyle, 88, was one of two people injured in a two-alarm fire at Chestnut Manor early Saturday. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The fire originated in the bedroom of a third-floor apartment in the seven-story senior housing complex. It was found to be accidental and started with an electric baseboard heater that either malfunctioned or was close to combustible items, investigators said.

The Arlington Department of Health and Human Services, Council on Aging and the Arlington Housing Authority have set up a relief fund to support the 16 people displaced by the fire. Funds will be used to find new living arrangements and replace items lost in the fire.
