Voting-By-Mail In Arlington: What To Know
Here's how to apply to vote-by-mail in the Sept. 1 primary and the Nov. 3 presidential election.

ARLINGTON, MA — The state has mailed the 2020 Vote-by-Mail application via postcard to all registered voters to request a mail-in ballot for the Sept. 1 primary election and Nov. 3 presidential election.
The return address on the application goes to the Arlington Clerk's Office and is postage paid. Remember to sign the card and to choose a party if you are not enrolled (independent). The clerk's office expects application postcards to have arrived by this week. Residents should check their postal mail for it.
The postcard application should be a fast and easy to use.

- Applications must reach the Town Clerk’s office by Aug. 26 for the Sept. 1 Primary.
- Applications must reach the Town Clerk’s office by Oct. 28 for the Nov. 3 Election.

If you have already sent in a request using a different format, you don't need to send another. If you have questions after you receive your card, please email townclerk@town.arlington.ma.us.
Voter Registration Information
Aug. 22 is the last day to register to vote in Arlington. On Aug. 22, the clerk's office will have in-person hours from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. inside the portico entrance of Town Hall (Town Hall parking lot on Academy Street).
