Arlington Christmas Tree Collection And Disposal Schedule

Residents can put out their live Christmas trees for one week for pickup.

ARLINGTON, MA — The town has announced when residents will be able to properly dispose of their Christmas trees.

The trees will be collected curbside between Monday, Jan. 12 and Friday, Jan. 16 on respective trash collection days, the Department of Public Works announced. Trees are required to be completely bare, as opposed to being placed in plastic bags, on stands, or left with any decorations still on it. The DPW emphasized that yard waste will not be collected during this week, as it is not resuming until April 13. This will be the only curbside tree collection of the season.

A one-day drop-off of trees is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Reuse & Recycle Center at 33 Ryder Street. Much like the collection rules, only bare trees will be accepted. The event is for Arlington residents only.
