4 Arrested at Underage Drinking Party

The arrests were made after police responded to a report about a loud party on Mechanic Street in Attleboro.

Four underage locals were arrested and eight others were told they would be summoned to Attleboro District Court following a reported early Thursday morning underage drinking party on Mechanic Street, according to the .

The arrestees, all Attleboro residents, are John Willard, 17, Devin Gorman, 18, Zachary Plante, 20 and Justin Keefer, 19.

"All four face a charge of being a person under age 21 in possession of liquor," Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon wrote in a press release. "Gorman and Plante face an additional charge of procuring liquor for a person under age 21. Eight teens are being summoned for a charge of being a person under age 21 in possession of liquor."

Police responded to the scene at 14 Mechanic Street at 2:06 a.m. after receiving a report about a disturbance caused by a loud party behind the home.

The homeowner, whose son was one of the arrestees, cooperated with police during the investigation and appears to be unaware that the teens were consuming alcohol on her property, Brillon wrote.

"Parents are warned that allowing liquor consumption on their property by persons under age 21 can result in criminal charges if it is deemed that the parent or responsible adult is aware," Brillon wrote.
