Attleboro Murder Suspect Indicted And Heading To Supreme Court
Adam Elijah Walker is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on murder charges after a drug deal dispute in May.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A Bristol County grand jury has indicted the suspect arrested in the May 26 murder of a man police are calling a drug dealer at his High Street apartment.
Adam Elijah Walker, 33, of East Providence, is being held without bail and is facing murder charges. He is also facing charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm without a license, and unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
Walker is accused of fatally shooting Peter Shifone, 38, of North Attleboro over what prosecutors say was a struggle over a drug deal.

Prosecutors say Schifone was shot in the chest and died at Sturdy Memorial Hospital 45 minutes later. A report from the Sun Chronicle said the incident happened at 64 High Street, North Attleboro at 4 p.m.
Local and state police say they have cellphone records, video surveillance, and witnesses who put Walker at the scene of the crime, according to the Sun.

The Sun also says police added Walker told his girlfriend he shot Schifone after Schifone assaulted him and that he no longer had the gun.
Walker was arrested two days after the shooting and pleaded not guilty when arraigned in Attleboro District Court on July 1.
Walker is scheduled to be arraigned on August 25 in Fall River Superior Court.
