Attleboro Woman Accused of Check Fraud
Charlese A. Townes is arrested at TD Bank in Foxborough.

An Attleboro woman was arrested Feb. 14 in Foxborough on suspicion of attempted check fraud.
The city's police department received a call shortly before 12 p.m. from the manager at a local TD Bank regarding a woman trying to commit fraud. Officers responded to the scene and arrested 19-year-old Charlese A. Townes on an allegation of attempted larceny over $250.
Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary said the department had been working with the U.S. Secret Service on an alleged regional counterfeit check scheme. O'Leary said Townes was also arrested in North Attleboro. Foxborough police faxed a copy of the arrest report to the Secret Service's Boston office and the police departments in East Providence and North Attleboro.
