Grace Baptist's School Year Begins
The day starts out rainy, but the sky later brightens, just like the moods of the students and faculty.
Early-morning rain failed to dampen the enthusiasm and spirits of students and staff members alike at of Attleboro, where the 2012-13 academic year began Tuesday.
Despite heavy rain early in the day, boys and girls in preschool through 12th grade successfully launched the new year with renewed academic vigor at the school at 1000 Oak Hill Ave. Pastor Jeffrey Nichols, GBCA's principal, said no major problems were reported Tuesday and everyone's mood brightened along with the weather during the day.
"It has been a typical first day of school," Nichols said. "The summer was probably too short for many, but I think everyone is glad to be back at school."

Attired in school uniforms, students and teachers wasted little time in getting down to the business of learning, reintroducing themselves to the school's regimen and completing various class projects throughout the day.
Tuesday was also the opening day of classes for GBCA's Amazing Grace Preschool, commencing its second year as a year-round facility for 3- and 4-year-old students. Director Lorraine Bailey said the preschool has expanded its curriculum this year by adding Spanish and sign language, and has improved its music curriculum as well.
