Man Accused of Attempted Murder Found Dead in Seekonk

Police say a man was found dead in Seekonk on Monday in an apparent suicide, according to WPRI in Providence. The man was a suspect in an attempted murder beating that allegedly took place earlier in the day in East Providence.

WPRI reports:

Officers were called to the scene at 6 Larchwood Drive around 7 a.m. by a family member who discovered the victim. The woman, who is in her late 40s or early 50s, was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. She is currently listed in critical condition.

A male suspect, around the same age, was later found dead at his work in Seekonk. Investigators are treating his death as an apparent suicide.

Police say the incident started as a domestic dispute, according to WPRI. The names of the man and woman have not been released. Patch will have more information on this story soon.
