Police Search for Suspect in Gas Station Robbery

The robbery took place at the Hess station on Washington Street.

are looking for a suspect in an early Monday morning gas station robbery. The man may have committed similar crimes in Central Falls and North Providence.

Police responded to the reported incident at the  on Washington Street at 1:10 a.m.

"Upon arrival, it was learned that a single male suspect had entered the store, had displayed two firearms and had demanded cash," a press release from Attleboro police states. "The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and went behind the building where a vehicle was apparently parked."

The release continues, "The vehicle was seen on the store's surveillance video fleeing on Washington Street heading south toward Pawtucket. The getaway vehicle was described as a dark colored four-door, possibly a Honda or Toyota."

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s, according to the release. He was approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was wearing a gray sweatshirt or jacket with the Red Sox logo on the left breast. He was also wearing a dark-colored baseball cap with the MLB logo on the back.

The investigation is being conducted by Detective Todd Boldy, who has learned the suspect may be responsible for robberies in Central Falls and North Providence.
