Grist Mill in Seekonk Reaches Tentative Reopening Date
The Grist Mill Tavern was set ablaze one year ago when a fruit truck caught fire after hitting the building, but owner Greg Esmay said they’re finishing rebuilding the building and are looking to reopen in October.

“I had been working a lot for other people for years and I figured it was time to start making the money for myself instead of making it for someone else,” he said.

“It’s our one-year anniversary but at least we’ve got a building again, so it’s getting there,” he said. “I ain’t saying anything more because it just seems to take forever.”

Planning Board Approves Patriot Place Expansion
A new expansion at Patriot Place is closer to reality after the planning board voted to approve the project last week.
The 5.5 acre expansion, located in a parking lot near the Renaissance Inn, will feature a CVS, a quick-serve restaurant, and a 122-room hotel.
