Seekonk Police Log: Sex Offender List Violation

The reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction):

Aug. 7

• *2:36 p.m. James William Benevides III, 33, of Fall River was arrested at the on Fall River Avenue on suspicion of failure to comply with a requirement to register as a sex offender. He was arrested at the same location the next day on suspicion of being a fugitive from justice.

Aug. 8

• 4:22 p.m. Shelby Elizabeth LaFlur, 20, of Swansea, was arrested at on Commerce Way on suspicion of shoplifting.

Aug. 9

• 1:40 a.m. Benjamin G. Ferro, 22, of Seekonk was arrested at his Colfall Street home on suspicion of assault and battery (domestic) and witness intimidation.
• 1:54 p.m. Nancy Marrone, 54, of East Providence was arrested at on suspicion of shoplifting.

Aug. 10

• 7:03 p.m. David J. Pimento, 33, of Taunton was arrested on Taunton Avenue on suspicion of a second offense of OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and an open container violation. Police were called to the scene after receiving a report of "a black SUV [moving] all over the road."

Aug. 12

• 6:05 p.m. Casey Leigh Richard, 21, of Raynham was arrested at on suspicion of shoplifting, resisting arrest and giving a false name to a police officer.
