Weekend Construction Could Cause Delays in Attleboro

If you're planning on traveling this weekend, keep in mind that Exit 2A on Route 295 in Attleboro will be closed.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it will be paving the exit from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. During that time, the ramp will be closed completely.

"Traffic destined for I-95 Northbound will be detoured onto I-95 Southbound to Exit 3A, where traffic will exit onto Route 123 Eastbound and then take the ramp for I-95 Northbound," MassDOT said in a statement. "Significant delays are not anticipated. The ramp closure and detour route will be marked and details officers utilized, as needed, to accommodate traffic flow."

MassDOT said the construction is dependent on weather. The National Weather Service said thunderstorms are possible Friday night after 5 p.m.
