Weymouth Woman Charged In Fatal Attleboro Stabbing

A 20-year-old Weymouth woman was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Attleboro.

ATTLEBORO, MA — A 20-year-old Weymouth woman was arrested and charged in connection with the Friday afternoon stabbing in Attleboro that left one woman dead.

Kayla Cantu, of Weymouth, is facing several charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn.

On Friday afternoon, two people were stabbed at a house on Leroy Street. They were rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital and one, identified as Kimberly Duphily, 28, of Attleboro, died. The second victim survived but was not identified.

Cantu will be arraigned Monday in Attleboro District Court.
