Old South Church Collecting Donations for African Famine

Old South Church is receiving a special offering for famine relief in the eastern horn of Africa, where the worst drought in 50 years has resulted in widespread famine. Money collected will be gathered with offerings from congregations across the United Church of Christ and sent to carefully vetted mission partners on the ground in Africa. Checks may be made out to Old South Church with "African famine relief" in the memo line. Marked envelopes will be available in the pews this Sunday and next. You may also give securely online. The offering is sponsored by the Christian Service and Outreach Committee, which will also contribute $1,000 of its funds.
