Back Bay Takes Top Spot in Boston Dining Ranking

Thrillist is out with a new list. What do you think of the selections?

BOSTON, MA — Tired of heaping praise on Cambridge and Somerville's flouring restaurant scene, Thrillist's local writer turned her attention to Boston this week, with a new ranking of the city's culinary scene by neighborhood.

Back Bay made No. 1, home to "some of the city’s most essential restaurants," as well as an impressive variety, according to the author.

Special props went to L’Espalier, Mistral, Uni, Taj, Bar Boulud, Post 390, Deuxave, Friendly Toast, Strip by Strega, Lolita and Porto. It's to Back Bay's credit that these are only a handful of the dining options here.

A ranking like Thrillist's is meant to be a useful guide to any eater, but has the special potential to attract new folks to the neighborhood, particularly tourists on the hunt for a good neighborhood guide.

We've included Thrillist's neighborhood rankings below. You can read more on its site for restaurant recommendations and the author's reasoning behind each of the picks. Find that here.
