Celebrate Father's Day on the Esplanade

1. Weather: Enjoy the sunny, 70-degree weather today, because the rain moves in at night, and lasts through Thursday.

2. Sunday Fun in the Park program - featuring free community activities for families - kicks off on Father's Day from 2 - 4 p.m. All activities occur on the Fiedler Field, near the Hatch Shell right off the Fiedler Footbridge. Click here for directions.

Activities include:

• 2:00-4:00pm: Parkland Games, Fishing, Arts & Crafts and more
• 2:00-3:00pm -- Brazilian Zouk Lambada Dance Workshop & Demo
• 3:00-3:30pm -- Family Fun Yoga
• 3:30-4:00pm -- Zumba® fitness class.  

3. Norman B. Leventhal Park Anniversary Celebration: The 20-year celebration for the is going on at noon today. The anniversary was postponed from last week in the face of bad weather. Come celebrate 320 years of this vibrant park at the Norman B. Leventhal Park, Post Office Square

4. Copley Square Farmers Market: Can't wait for SoWa on the weekend? The returns at 11 a.m. today. Twenty vendors will have stands up, selling local fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheeses, jellies, jams, meats and plenty more. Come grab some delicious and healthy food for you and the family.

5. Bay Village Book Club: is reading “Midnight in Peking” by Paul French. “Historian and China expert Paul French at last uncovers the truth behind this notorious murder, and offers a rare glimpse of the last days of colonial Peking.” The club meets at 69 Church St, Boston at 7:00 p.m.
