Death Investigation

  • On Saturday, May 26 at 8 p.m. police responded to an 'unknown problem' on Boylston Street across from Copley Square, and found 'a victim known to the Commonwealth' unresponsive at the scene. Homicide units and the state medical examiner arrived to take the body away. The incident is under investigation.

Allegeded Prescription Fraud at CVS

  • Steven Garcia, of 131 Tremont St. Boston, was arrested Monday at 6:05 p.m. and charged with obtaining drugs by fraud and conspiracy to violate drug laws after allegedly trying to call in a prescription for himself at the CVS on 587 Boylston St. According to the report, he told police his doctor called the prescription to his phone, but his friend deleted the voicemail his doctor left.

    Police found that Garcia had two active warrants for charged of obtaining drugs by fraud, and he was arrested, the report says.

Drinking in Copley Square

  • Pearl Black, of 97 Wolford Way #385, Charlestown, was arrested Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. and charged with drinking in public at 581 Boylston St. Police say Black had a open container of Natural Ice beer, and was drinking it in Copley Square. Police say they've received a number of complains about drinking there, and that the suspect was warned not to drink alcohol in the park in the past.
