Donate your gently-used books @ the 5th Annual city-wide Book Drive at The Non-Profit Center (next to South Station). It's about literacy, not landfill!
Prison Book Program & City Mission Society are joining forces for the 5th year in a row to make it easier than ever for gently-used books to benefit others by presenting "The Great American Book Drive."
Prison Book Program exists for one purpose - to send free books to prisoners. We've been doing it since 1972. PBP gives books to individual prisoners in the United States. Prisoners have limited access to educational materials and we provide them with free books for personal development during incarceration. We do so because education is a powerful tool that reduces the likelihood that a prisoner will return to the prison system.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Choose to support re-use, help educate prisoners, and promote social justice by donating your gently-used books!
Can't make the date? The Non-Profit Center will be accepting advance book donations from 7am-7pm (weekdays only) from Tuesday, October 25th - Friday, November 4th.
