Five Things to Know Today: Mon, Feb 14
Last minute planning for Valentine's Day, American Liver Foundation's Love your Liver run, Berklee alum takes home Best New Artist at the Grammys, Chinese New Year celebration, high around 45 degrees today.

1. Today is Valentine's Day. (As if you didn't know, right? Right?) From , to , to , go out and make it a special night. I know it's a commercial holiday. But a little romance never hurts.
2. Love was certainly in the air this weekend, as Boston Marathon runners for the American Liver Foundation's Run for Research Team donned scary-looking tu-tu's, crazy socks and more Valentine's Day outfits (think Russel Stover chocolate boxes velcroed to your shirt) and trained through the last 17 miles of the course for the annual Love Your Liver Run. There was even a surprise proposal a the end! We've got it all on .Ch
3. The Grammys were a good night, especially for Esperanza Spalding. The jazz bassist and '04 alum took home the Best New Artist award. 4. There was a parade, a party, fireworks and lots of awe-struck on-lookers during the in Chinatown on Sunday. The event was organized by Main Street Chinatown and the City of Boston to mark the start of the Chinese Spring Festival or New Year. Welcome to the Year of the Hare.
5. Today’s weather: Slight chance of showers after noon. Another dismal gray day. But at least it’s warm. High around 45.
