Man Charged with Trespassing, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

the following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Boston Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the 7-Eleven 55 Berkeley Street. The clerk reportedly observed the suspect standing on the counter at one point. The clerk then observed the suspect attempt to place items in his pockets.

When the clerk confronted the suspect, the suspect then reportedly threatened the clerk, stating, “Come outside. I’ll beat you.” The suspect then reportedly knocked over a display stand and a stack of shopping baskets. 

When officers arrived, the suspect was reportedly hostile towards the police. Officers say that the suspect provided a false name. Officers ordered the suspect to leave the store, which the suspect refused. Officers again told the suspect that he was causing a disturbance and should leave the store. The suspect again refused.

At this point, officers arrested Claude Thibault of 794 Massachusetts Avenue, and charged him with trespassing. During the booking process, officers found two bags of syringes, a crack pipe, a metal spoon and other drug paraphernalia.
