Monday Essentials: Free Fun Fridays Come to Back Bay

Welcome to Monday Essentials, your guide for the week to come in Back Bay. Here's what you need to know for the week of Monday, July 22:

FREE FUN FRIDAY IN BACK BAY

Back Bay residents can explore 60 of the area's best museums this summer for free thanks to the “Free Fun Fridays” program offered by Highland Street Foundation. But this week the fun comes right to your backyard. New England Historic Genealogical Society—99-101 Newbury St., Boston; open Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They can be reached at 617-536-5740.

CONCERTS IN THE COURTYARD

This week Boston Public Library's Central Branch will have three Concerts in the Courtyard at 700 Boylston St. Singer/songwriter Aisling Peartree will perform Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., Revolutionary Snake Ensemble will go Thursday at 6 p.m. and the Amaryllis Chamber Ensemble Friday at 12:30 p.m.

BOSTON LANDMARKS ORCHESTRA

Another Wednesday in the summer means another Boston Landmarks Orchestra performance at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade at 7 p.m. Here's a look at what's coming up this week.
