• Boston Police Blotter: Shoplifting on Newbury Street, in the Pru (bostonherald.com) — Police reported two separate shoplifting arrests in Back Bay on Monday, one involving jackets ditched near Exeter Street after a Newbury Street theft and another at the Prudential Center’s Lululemon store. Officers say they recovered the merchandise in both cases, and the arrests were among more than 200 incidents citywide logged in a 24‑hour period.
   

• Longtime employee accused of stealing $429K from Saks Fifth Avenue (nbcboston.com) — A longtime personal shopper at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in Boston’s Back Bay is facing a larceny charge after an internal probe alleged he processed fraudulent returns and mishandled company funds. Police say he signed a note admitting to hundreds of thousands in losses and promising repayment, while his attorney insists the accusations are retaliatory and vows to contest them in court.
