Brookline Resident Dead After Monday Night Shooting

The man died after being rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

BROOKLINE, MA — A man is dead after being shot multiple times on Monday night, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.

Police responded to the scene at 9 Gibbs St. at approximately 8:30 p.m. The victim, 47-year-old Nuno F.G. Loureiro, was discovered inside the building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where he later died from his injuries on Tuesday morning.

The shooter remains at large.
